Poker Room Location and Game Options
Our poker action runs at Pickering Casino Resort, just off Highway 401 at the border of Pickering and Ajax. The poker room is on the 3rd floor of The Hotel at Pickering Casino Resort, with 18 tables and 24/7 service. We spread No-Limit Hold’em, with 25/50 No Limit Games available by request.
For mixed game players, we offer 20/40 Omaha 1/2 Kill Limit Games. Every table is equipped with automatic shufflers, which helps keep the game moving. Inside the room there is a dedicated bar and tableside food delivery from The District, and two private High Stakes rooms are available.
To line up a seat before you arrive, you can register through the PokerAtlas app or call 289-539-0552 ext. 8762. Players have a 90-minute check-in window.
Cash Game Rake and Structure
All our cash games run with a rake of 10% to a maximum of $20 on each pot, with a minimum $2 rake applied after the flop. That cap is the same at every limit, whether you sit in a 1/3 game or a 25/50 table, so regular players understand the cost before they buy in.
| Game Format | Blinds | Rake Cap |
|---|---|---|
| No-Limit Hold’em | 1/3 | $20 |
| No-Limit Hold’em | 2/5 | $20 |
| No-Limit Hold’em | 5/10 | $20 |
| No-Limit Hold’em | 10/20 | $20 |
| No-Limit Hold’em | 25/50 (request) | $20 |
| Omaha Hi/Lo | 20/40 | $20 |
We run a Multi-Destination Bad Beat Jackpot on an ongoing basis. The minimum hand to qualify is quad tens beaten. The jackpot grows with contributions from the rake at participating tables, so the amount will vary from day to day.
Poker Tournaments
Weekly tournaments are offered, including $575 No Limit Hold’em events and other tournament formats. On various dates, we schedule Turbo tournaments, Deep Stack formats, and premium Deep Stack events.
Registration is handled by phone at 289-539-0552 extension 876, with payment taken in advance. Late registration times depend on the structure of each event. We plan the tournament calendar so it does not overlap heavily with prime cash game periods, which helps keep space open for both tournament regulars and cash players.
Rewards Program
Through Great Canadian Rewards, players collect points on every rake dollar and on all poker tournament buy-ins. Once your card is added at the poker desk, points track automatically while you play.
As your yearly point total grows, different reward tiers unlock. Benefits can include comp dollars, priority on seating lists, access to invitation-only tournaments, and entry to special events. You can always check your points balance through the rewards portal or by asking at any casino service desk.
Great Canadian Rewards is available through Great Canadian Entertainment locations in Ontario. Points you earn at our Pickering poker room go into the same account as visits to our sister properties, so one card carries your poker play everywhere in the network.
Sign-Up and Seat Reservation
New poker guests complete a short registration at the desk before their first session. Once this profile is set up, the next visits are faster - returning players just check in. When a seat becomes available, players receive a pager notification so you know exactly when to head to the table.
The PokerAtlas app can be used for cash game sign-ups:
- Download the app from the iOS App Store or Google Play.
- Create your account and search for Pickering Casino Resort.
- Choose the game and stakes you prefer, then add your name to the waiting list.
The app allows you to join the waiting list for cash games. Players have a 90-minute check-in window to arrive and confirm their place at the poker desk. If you would rather use the phone, you can call the desk directly at 289-539-0552 ext. 8762, leave your name and game choice, and our team will provide an estimated wait time.
